- Growth core river-storm plus-base-load-capable energy generation through ecologically compatible river hydropower plants (2015-2018)
The regional "Growth Core River Electricity Plus" consists of 19 companies and 7 research institutions from central Germany. The core competence of the growth center includes the energetic development of sites with low hydropower potential through economically efficient and ecologically sound hydropower plants, especially for free-flowing waters. The stated goal is to establish and expand the technology and product leadership in the field of "barrier-free hydropower" (hydropower without impoundment) worldwide in close cooperation with companies and research institutes.
„Eco-water power made in Germany“ should become a sales and export hit in the medium term. This can be achieved by closing current R&D gaps and open issues for the targeted products, and learning in the region through product application and optimization for technology development, to eventual series maturity.
As part of the E-World 2019, the results will be presented on the growth core Fluss-Strom plus. Furthermore, in cooperation with the Hochschule Magdeburg-Stendal, current and future research and development work from the Fluss-Strom network will be presented to interested trade visitors.
