With whom am I dealing here? Please introduce yourself and your product shortly.
We are Bea and René. Together we founded Vesputi. Vesputi manufactures a passenger-centered information system for transport companies to make the traffic turnaround in Germany possible. This means we want to provide a platform for all intermodal transport that makes it easier for passengers to use public transport and to encourage people to leave their own care at home more often.
But you are not the first!
That is true. The big players in the market have been on the road for more than 30 years, which clearly shows that there is a market. But that is precisely why the software is simply outdated and can not support the transport companies for the traffic turnaround and represent intermodal traffic.
What has been your biggest challlenge so far?
Really getting started. We have thought and planned way too much and theorized and discussed business models. If we have not planned we hid behind "We have to build product". That has brought as almost nothing.
What is the current progress of your project?
It is going, at the beginning of 2018, the system will be introduced at the first traffic operation with 51 million passengers.
Why do you want to found in Magdeburg? What connects you to the city?
We studied here and enjoy living here. Through the Elbde and the many parks, it is just fantastic in summer. there are also great financing options for founders , which have made the beginning for us really easy!
Be honest - How will you be the next Unicorn Business or will we see you soon at the FuckUp Night?
Hopefully FuckUp Night :-D. There is nothing better to learn how to build a successful business. Because mistakes are the best way to learn. In Germany, failure is still far from too often regarded as a clemish. We want to counter that. And at the FuckUp NIght, it is always about big mistakes, from which people always recover and learn from it.
Your advice to other founders?
Do not let the theory stop you. Even if you do not have any money, go out and sell your product. With sales you can pay people and tools, they give you the necessary time to deal with the rheory. Turnover is more important than any landing page, business model or pitch. Although theseare imprtant too, but revenues are more important. Go out and make mistakes. Only then you will learn and become better. The worst mistak is to avoid mistakes.
