The EXIST-Women program, supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, aims to assist women with an interest in entrepreneurship at universities and research institutions in the pre-startup phase. It focuses on the development of their entrepreneurial personalities and the further refinement of their startup ideas. Following the motto "LiveYourPassion," the program provides women with personalized (financial) support for entrepreneurship.

If you wish to advance your entrepreneurial goals while receiving both mental and financial support, we are delighted to introduce our EXIST-Women scholarship program. This program offers you the opportunity to manifest your entrepreneurial visions and realize your dreams.

Applications are now open. Please send us a one-minute pitch video to the following email address: tugz@ovgu.de. We are interested in knowing: Who are you? What are your plans? What do you want to achieve? With the criteria provided, you can focus your selfie on the most important content.

In this round, we can award a total of ten scholarships. We will notify you as soon as possible whether your application was successful and what the next steps are. If you are unsure whether EXIST-Women is right for you, you can also learn more in a personal consultation with the Startup Network (Janina Jericho; contact details provided).

Who is EXIST-Women aiming at?

To our OVGU graduates, female researchers, students, and women with vocational training and a connection to OVGU who are interested in entrepreneurship. Participation is also possible alongside your studies or career.

What are my obligations as a participant?

You participate in our "Entrepreneur" seminar, regularly attend relevant events of the TUGZ startup network, and attend appointments for individual consultation through the startup network as well as for exchanges with your mentor. Whenever possible, you should also attend centrally offered forums for female entrepreneurs and networking events.

Where do I stand at the end of the qualification program?

Through the offerings of TUGZ@OVGU and OVGU GmbH, as well as the centrally offered events, you will know what matters in starting a business and how to do it. You will also have the opportunity to meet other female entrepreneurs who can share their experiences with you.

Where does the program take place?

The supervising Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg qualifies you online or on-site, possibly in cooperation with other universities in the region. Additionally, you participate in up to four nationwide, centrally offered EXIST-Women events and meet aspiring female entrepreneurs from all over Germany.

What about the application and selection process?

Your application is a approximately one-minute selfie video that you send to us (tugz@ovgu.de). We have created a criteria catalog for the selection process. A jury of mentors and experts from our university will review and evaluate your application. After that, you will be notified whether we can offer you one of the ten scholarships in the first round.
